[Scanner] button
Touch this button to open the [Setting - H/W - Scanner]
screen.
Touch the button for the scanner connected to the main
unit ([UY-S90/100] or [FlatbedScanner]), to open the
screen with the settings for that scanner.
• [ON/OFF] button
When a scanner is connected to the main unit, this
button is set to [ON]. Touching this button toggles the
setting between [ON] and [OFF].
• [35 mm] button (present only if you touch [UY-S90/
100])
When scanning 35 mm film, you can select one of the
following resolutions: [SD] (553 dpi), [HD] (1106
dpi), or [UD] (2212 dpi). Touch the [35 mm] button to
open the screen, select the resolution, then touch the
[OK] button.
• [IX240] button (present only if you touch [UY-S90/
100])
When scanning APS (IX240) film, you can select the
resolution: [SD-W] (831 dpi) or [HD-W] (1663 dpi).
Touch the [IX240] button to open the screen, select the
resolution setting, then touch the [OK] button.

Settings
• [Format] button
You can select from [JPEG] or [BMP] format for
images scanned from photographs or film. Touching
this button toggles the selection between [JPEG] and
[BMP].
[Terminal] button
Touch this button to open the [Setting - H/W - Terminal]
screen.
• [Memory Stick], [SD CARD/MMC],
[CompactFlash], [SmartMedia], [CD], [FD] buttons
Use these settings to enable or disable the slot or drive
on the main unit. Touching one of the buttons selects
[ON] (enabled) or [OFF] (disbled).
• [Substitution] button
When this setting is [ON] and a slot of the unit is
damaged, you can use a substitute card reader by
connecting it to the USB connector of the unit. Touch
this button to toggle the setting [ON] (when using a
device connected to the USB connector) or [OFF]
(when you want to use the internal slots).
Notes
• When this setting is [ON], you cannot use any of the
slots or drives installed in the unit.
• For details about what card readers are compatible
with this unit, consult your retailer.
SETTING END
• Touch the [OK] button to temporarily save the settings
that you made. To confirm the settings, touch the [OK]
button repeatedly until the screen prompting you to
confirm whether you want to save the settings appears,
then touch the [OK] button to close the configuration
screen.
• Touch the [Cancel] button to ignore the modifications
that you made and restore the previous settings. If you
touch this button on the screen that appears
immediately after you touch one of the tabs, all the
settings that you have made on that tab are ignored,
and the screen returns to the password entry screen.
