The device number will be displayed on the connection screen.
If using an i-Limb Wrist together with an i-Limb Quantum hand, only the wrist number will be displayed in the
Biosim app.
Selecting the wrist number will connect both the hand and the wrist to the Biosim app, allowing them to be
adjusted.
The device may beep when connected to the app.
Smart Control
Set up smart control in the Biosim app by accessing the central icon at the bottom of the screen.
Follow the setup steps in this order:

Refer to training materials for information on the optimum set up using smart control.
The user should develop a clear and repeatable picture of each single movement during evaluation stage, and
capture it during the recording stage.
Perform recording with the prosthesis donned, as the weight of the prosthesis can change muscle actions.
NOTE: For safety reasons, the i-Limb Wrist only changes between hand and wrist movements after a rest action.
Please consider this safety feature when using smart control.
High / Low Control
Access the wrist options tab in the Biosim app to set up high/ low control.
A fast-rising signal from the two digital electrodes controls the wrist.
A slow-rising signal from the two digital electrodes controls the hand.

Co-contraction Control
Set up co-contraction control in the Biosim app by accessing the wrist options tab.
Complete a co-contraction to switch between hand and wrist control.
Co-contraction timings can be adjusted on Biosim to meet an individual user's requirements.
MAINTENANCE & CLEANING
Service and Maintenance
Any problems with the device are to be reported to a clinician for service and maintenance.
The prosthetist shall instruct end user to:
a. charge the battery each day;
b. regularly clean their prosthesis;
c. neither maintain nor service the i-Limb Wrist;
d. return the i-Limb Wrist annually for service and repair to Össur.
