1. Insert the digital electrode contacts into the inner socket of the prosthesis.
2. Use tape to fasten the white electrode wires to the socket, to keep them from moving.
3. Insert the rotator connection cable from the base of the electrode unit into the wrist rotator.
Make sure the rotator connection cable is fully inserted and secured.
NOTE: The digital electrodes must be connected before the system is turned on.
Remote Electrodes Domes
Space remote electrode domes 8–10 mm apart, from center to center.
NOTE: The domes may not touch.
The middle cable of each pair is the earth cable (see above).
Attach the earth cables to the middle domes, positioned between the two other domes.
Disassembly of Electrodes
Use the extraction tool supplied to remove electrode cables when necessary.
Pull cable off vertically only.
Wrist Assembly
The i-Limb Wrist should be inserted into the prosthesis from the distal end.
Assemble the inner socket into the outer socket/frame before assembling the i-Limb Wrist.
Insert the electrode and battery cables into the proximal end of the i-Limb Wrist (Figure 8).
Insert the i-Limb Wrist into the prosthesis.
Use a T6 screwdriver to tighten the middle screw each of the set, as shown.
Tighten each screw a little at a time.
This pushes the expansion ring against the inner surface of the prosthesis to secure the i-Limb Wrist in position.
Torque central screws to 1 Nm (Figure 9).
Once the wrist is secured in position, attach the i-Limb hand with quick wrist disconnect (QWD) to the prosthesis:
1. Align the hand with the wrist.
2. Push lightly together.
3. Rotate the hand slightly to make sure it is engaged.
POWER
To charge the prosthesis, remove it first from the residual limb. Depending on model, turn either off or to standby
by moving the power switch to the left position (Figure 10, 11).
