Direct Rotation
Direct rotation is wrist motion independent of changing a grip of the i-Limb hand.
The i-Limb Wrist can be rotated using one of the three following control methods:
• Smart Control: Specific muscle movements (rest, open, close, palm up and palm down) are applied to the
prosthesis during setup. Activating a specific muscle movement allows direct control of the prosthesis as
intended.
• High/Low: A strong rising signal rotates the wrist. A slow rising signal controls the hand.
• Co-contraction: A quick contraction of both muscles at the same time switches between control of the hand
and wrist.
Direct rotation can be turned on/off using the Biosim App. This can be done while learning, until the users feels
confident enough to use the feature in daily life.
Train in stages.
Make sure the user feels confident enough advancing to more complex tasks or functions of the prosthesis.
50/60 Hz Switch
Adjust the electrode frequency in the settings tab of the Biosim app. This optimizes the set-up for travelling and
different countries.
Biosim App
Use the Biosim app to set up the i-Limb Wrist to meet a user's specific requirements.
When opening the Biosim app, all available devices will be displayed on the home screen.
If more than one prosthesis is in close proximity, make sure only the prosthesis you want to connect to is turned
on.
