ADJUSTING THE SHOCK MODULE
Re-Flex Rotate and Re-Flex Shock
To adjust the shock module, loosen the three hex screws on the
attachment clamp (Figure 6) and rotate the foot until the correct height
and/or rotation is achieved.
One full rotation results in 8mm change in height. For finer adjustments,
rotate in 90° turns.
WARNING: Ensure there is full engagement of the clamp and shock
module. Less than full engagement will void the warranty.
For Re-Flex Shock, leave a small gap between the collar and the clamp.
Make sure the collar covers the edge of the bellow all around.
SECURING SHOCK MODULE
To secure the shock module fasten the three hex screws (Figure 9) of the
clamp. Start with the top hex screw and work down by applying 3Nm with
a torque wrench. Perform this sequence twice, since the upper hex screw
will loosen in the first run.
For Re-Flex Shock fasten the lower pin on the spring (Figure 8) by
applying 10Nm with a torque wrench and tighten. Make sure 1 disc
springs is located on each side of the front spring pointing to the inside
supporting the sides.
Place the bellow in the groove on the threaded tube and then tighten the
collar over the bellow. (Figure 10)
WARNING: Over tightening the hex screws can strip threads and cause
the shock module to bind.
APPLYING A PERMANENT SHOCK MODULE SETTING
To permanently fix the shock module, remove the hex screws one by one;
apply Loctite 243 on threads. Then insert the screws and re-apply torque
of 3Nm on all hex screws starting with the top hex screw and working
down. Perform this sequence twice, since the upper hex screw will loosen
in the first run. Failure to apply Loctite 243 to the hex screws may result
in the shock coming loose.
For Re-Flex Shock, remove the lower pin and apply Loctite 243 on the
thread and tighten with 10Nm torque. Make sure the 2 disc springs are in
place on each side.
For Re-Flex Rotate with a female adapter, use Loctite 243 and torque the 4
set screws at the female adapter to 15 Nm (11 ft-lb).
MAINTENANCE & CLEANING
• The device is weatherproof, but not resistant to corrosion. The device
should not come into contact with salt water or chlorinated water. In
cases where it does, the device must be rinsed with fresh water
immediately, and dried with a lint-free cloth.
• If device components get wet, the parts should be dried with a lint-
free cloth.
• Do not lubricate the device. Lubricating the device will void
the warranty.
