1/ Cut the saddle tube to length
1 – On the stem: Check the presence of the
three pre-installed spacers.
2 – Insert the stem into the frame and adjust
the horizontal position of the saddle. Refer
to the previous forward/backward position
(saddle rear adjustment)
3 – Tighten the saddle clamp with a
recommended torque of 22 Nm.
4 – Measure the height "B" of your new
bicycle. (Photo 1)
5 – Calculate the cutting length "L", using:
L = B – A (new saddle height – old saddle
height)
6 – Remove the stem:
7 – Installation of the cutting guide:
(Attention: the 596 cutting guide is a specific
tool delivered with the frame).
Place the guide at height "L", measured from
the sawing slot to the top of the saddle tube.

8 – Tighten the guide in position using the
locking screw. (Photo 3)
9 – Cut the tube to length by inserting a saw
(24 or 32 teeth per inch) into the saw slot.
(Saw vertically). (Photo 4)
10 – Take off the cutting guide and remove
any rough edges from the end of the tube.
Check that the end of the tube is clean and
free of paint.
