• If all of the battery capacity lamps are not on when the capacity indication button is pressed after charging, this
means that the battery has become degraded and its capacity has decreased. (Depending on the condition of the
battery, the capacity lamps may return to the original display after subsequent chargings.)
• Judge the need for replacing the battery with a new one by using the table below as a guide for the degree of de-
gradation of the battery capacity.

INFORMAtION
All batteries are wear parts. The battery capacity decreases with use.
The extent to which the capacity decreases depends on the conditions of use. The capacity of a nickel metal hydride
battery after approximately 300 charge/discharge cycles in the course of normal use is reduced to approximately 60%
of the capacity of a new battery.

• Depending on the condition of the battery, the capacity lamps may return to the original display after subsequent
chargings.
• Consult with the dealer if no more than 3 capacity lamps light up after charging within 1 year of use.
INFORMAtION
If the battery temperature exceeds 50 °C during the charging process, the battery protection mechanism terminates
the charging cycle. This also means that not all LEDs of the battery capacity indicator light up after charging when
the indicator button is pushed.
Allow the battery to cool and then repeat the charging process.

How to Check the Battery Capacity
Judge
The battery capacity will be decre-
ased in comparison to a brand new
battery. If one desires to run the
wheelchair for a long distance after
charging it only once, the battery
should be replaced with a new one.
