11 Dismounting
Dismounting may only be carried out by specialized personnel. Please make sure that the
shutdown procedures are strictly observed before the dismounting is started. Make sure to
include also the components integrated into the welding system.
DANGER
Risk of injury due to unexpected start-up.
The following instructions must be adhered to throughout all maintenance, servicing,
assembly, disassembly and repair work:
• Switch off the power source.
• Close off the compressed air supply.
• Switch off the entire welding system.
• Disconnect all electrical connections..

Cause
• Cable assembly connected
incorrectly
• Play of cable assembly too small
between feeder and iCAT WH
• Control lead, cable assembly or
board defective
• Cable assembly mounted under
torsion
• No grease on the O-rings of the
adapter
• No grease in the mounting bores
of the liquid-cooled cable
assembly adapter
• Cable assembly too long
• Dirt deposits in the housing
• iCAT WH damaged
• Liner diameter to large
• Liner insufficiently stripped on the
torch side
Solution
• See cable assembly fastening

• Change the feeding system
positioning, if possible
• Have it checked and replaced by
qualified personnel
• Unscrew cable assembly from
feeder and reconnect it free of
torsion.
• Lubricate the O-rings with grease
• Grease the bores
• Change the feeding system
positioning, if possible
• Remove dirt deposits, clean
housing
• Verification by qualified personnel
• Use a smaller liner
• Strip liner 350 mm on the torch
side
