Descriptive information 1.1 Indications for use The Provox Vega Voice Prosthesis is a sterile single use indwelling voice prosthesis intended for voice rehabilitation after surgical removal of the larynx (laryngectomy). Cleaning of the voice prosthesis is performed by the Patient while it remains in situ.

Informazioni descrittive 1.1 Indicazioni per l’uso La protesi fonatoria Provox Vega è una protesi fonatoria fissa sterile monouso indicata per la riabilitazione fonatoria dopo la rimozione chirurgica della laringe (laringectomia). La pulizia della protesi fonatoria in sede viene eseguita dal paziente.

    1.2 Beskrivning av ventilen Allmänt Provox Vega är en envägsventil som håller en TE-fistel öppen för tal, samtidigt som den minskar risken för att vätska och mat hamnar i trakea. Provox Vega röstventil är inte ett permanent implantat utan måste bytas med regelbundna intervall.

    2. Bruksanvisning 2.1 Förberedelser Välja rätt diameter och längd på röstventilen Välj en Provox Vega röstventil med längd och diameter korrekt anpassade till patienten. Provox Vega finns i olika diametrar och längder. • Diameter Läkaren ska avgöra vilken diameter på ventilen som är lämplig för patienten.

    • Vi rekommenderar talträning med hjälp av logoped för att patienten ska få optimal röst, flytande tal och tydlighet. 3.2 Skötsel av röstventil Visa patienten när och hur Provox Vega röstventil ska rengöras. Ventilen håller längre om den rengörs minst två gånger om dagen. OBSERVERA: Använd endast Provox originaltillbehör avsedda för användning med Provox Vega vid rengöring av ventilen.

    Granulation runt fisteln – Ärrbildning runt TE-fisteln har rapporterats i omkring 5 % av fallen. Ärrvävnaden kan behandlas med kauterisering (elektrisk, kemisk eller laser). Hypertrofisk ärrbildning runt fisteln – Om ventilen är för kort kan det hända att trakealslemhinnan runt trakealflänsen förstoras. Denna överflödiga vävnad kan avlägsnas med hjälp av laser (CO eller NdYAG).
