18. Troubleshooting

This model and the remote control were built using the latest technology. However, faults and malfunction may still
occur. The following section shows you how to troubleshoot potential problems.
Problem
The transmitter does not respond
The model does not respond
The motors do not run
The model fails to gain altitude
The model always drifts in one direction • Unfavourable flight conditions, e.g. too windy.
The model responds too jerkily to the
control commands
The model responds too sluggishly to
the control commands
The model automatically ascends too
steeply
The model keeps the tip of the fuselage
down
Flight time is too short
Solution
• Check the batteries in the transmitter.
• Check the polarity of the batteries.
• Turn the transmitter on.
• Check the flight battery or connector in the model.
• Repeat the switching on process.
• Check the charge status of the flight battery.
• Repeat the switching on process.
• Check the charge status of the flight battery.
• Replace the flight battery.
• Check that both motors run smoothly.
• Trim the model.
• Operate the transmitter joysticks more sensitively or briefly
• Manipulate the transmitter joysticks stronger and longer.
• Excessive motor power or incorrect elevator trim.
• The centre of gravity or the flight battery is positioned too far back!
• Insufficient motor power or incorrect elevator trim.
• The centre of gravity or the flight battery is positioned too far forward!
• Check the charge status of the flight battery.
• Replace the flight battery.
