Checking the Model Functions

a) Checking the Rudder Functions

First switch on the transmitter. Then switch on the model.
Neutral position:
If the control lever for the rudder function (see figure 2, item 3) as well as the corresponding trim sliders (see figure 2,
items 4 and 5) are in the central position, the aileron and elevator should also be aligned precisely (see figure 15). If
necessary, twisting the respective clevises may result in elongating the rods so that the rudder can be adjusted with
millimetre precision.
Elevator function:
If the control lever for the elevator and aileron functions (see figure 2, item 3) is moved down, the elevator must deflect
to the top (see figure 16). In flight, the landing gear is pressed downwards and the model ascends.
If the control lever for the elevator and aileron functions (see figure 2, item 3) is moved upwards , the elevator must
deflect downwards (see figure 17). In flight, the landing gear is then pressed upwards and the model descends. This
control function is required to put the model into a normal light position if it wants to ascend too much due to a control
error or a gust of wind.
