d) Reverse Function
With the help of the reverse function you can reverse the
rudder movement or functional direction of the engine speed
control.
For this, a separate switch is located on the remote control
transmitter for each control channel.
The switches are assigned the following functions:
Switch CH1 = Aileron function
Switch CH2 = Elevator function
Switch CH3 = Engine function
Switch CH4 = Rudder function (not controlled)
If the elevator, for example, reacts opposite to the control commands, disconnect the flight battery and then switch off
the transmitter. After switching the CH2 switch, switch on the transmitter and then the model again. Now verify correct
movement at the aileron.
Under certain circumstances, the centre position of the rudders may have to be readjusted after switching.
e) Checking the Centre of Gravity
Due to the construction of the model, the centre of gravity is
preset. It is located approx. 42 mm behind the leading edge
of the upper wing.
If the model is lifted by the wings at the right and left of the
canopy at this distance, it should be balanced or only slightly
lower its nose.
Usually, it is not required that the centre of gravity is changed
by adding lead weights to the fuselage tip or tail. Only where
the flight characteristics do not correspond to your wishes,
you can try to optimise the flight characteristics by adjusting
the centre of gravity.
If the centre of gravity is moved forwards, this increases
flight stability, but the model's sliding properties deteriorate.
If the centre of gravity is moved backwards, this improves sliding properties, but the model becomes unstable and
reacts extremely to elevator controls.
Important!
Changes to the centre of gravity should only be performed by experienced model pilots who want to
specifically adapt the flight performance of their model to their ideas and control habits.
