10. Charging the flight battery

• The flight battery is charged with the handheld
transmitter.
• Lift the cover for the charge cable plug (1) on the right-
hand side and lift the lid leftwards (see also Figure 2,
pos. 6)
• Remove the charge cable (2) and plug the pole reversal
proof plug (3) into the model airplane's charge socket
(4).
The charge socket is located under the front
undercarriage of the model directly next to the function
switch (5).
• To start the charge process, slide the function switch of
the transmitter (see Figure 2, pos.4) from the middle
setting "OFF" to the left setting "CHG" (i.e. Charge).
• Then switch the model's function switch (5) from the
middle setting "OFF" to "CHG" (Charge) as well.
• The left-hand LED (6) glows red in the LED display (see
Figure 2, pos. 2) and indicates that the flight battery is
being charged.
• Once the charge process is completed, the LED for the
charge function glows green.
• Switch the transmitter and the model OFF with the corresponding function switches and separate the model from
the charge cable. For flight operation, stash the charge cable back in the transmitter and close the cable shaft cover.
It takes approx. 30 minutes to charge the flight battery. Depending on the remaining charge of the flight
battery and the quality or remaining capacity of the used transmitter batteries, the charge process may
take more or less time to complete than indicated here.
