Completing the Model Plane

Before starting with the assembly of the model, prepare an appropriate surface To achieve excellent flight performance,
your model is made of light moulded foam. The disadvantage of this material is, however, a sensitive surface. Small
inattentions during the assembly of the model lead very quickly to ugly dents and holes in the surface.

a) Inserting the Elevator Unit

The elevator (1) must be glued to the fuselage with glue
suitable for foam.
First, Insert the elevator „dry" into the prepared slot in the
end of the fuselage (2) from behind. The elevator linkage
lever (3) must point upwards to the linkage rod (4).
Then align the elevator unit according to the sketch in figure
6.
If required, carefully trace the fuselage/elevator transfers at
the elevator unit with a thin foil marker pen (5).
After removing the unit from the fuselage again, apply glue
to the contact surfaces at the fuselage and the elevator unit.
Then push the unit back in the fuselage and wipe off any
escaping glue without delay.
Align the unit with the lines made previously so that it is
centrally positioned and the two lines „A" and the two lines
„B" are of the same length each.
It must still be possible to elevator (6) up and down slightly:
Practical advice:
If you want to attach the unit with liquid instant adhesive for
Stropor®, align it precisely and secure it against slipping
with two pins.
Then let a little glue run into the groove between the fuselage
and the unit. When the unit is attached, remove the pins
and apply glue around the groove.
