DJUSTING THE SLIPPER COUPLING
The setting of the slip clutch changes the reaction of the model in case of sudden, extreme load changes. This is e.g. the
case if you accelerate strongly.
If the clutch is set too tight, it reacts abruptly and the model jerks forwards or does a „wheelie". If it is too loose, the full engine
power is not transmitted to the drive and the model only accelerates weekly or not at all.
Contrary to this, the slip clutch protects the transmission of the wheels brake sharply. If ground contact is lost during jumps, the
rotation speed of the wheels increases because the propulsion is no longer transmitted. When the model „lands", this rotation
speed is immediately reduced to zero. The slip clutch lets the drive slip and protects the transmission from destruction.
Basic setting
The clutch is set by the factory and should not require any
readjustment.
If you want to change the setting retrospectively,
-
turn the hexagonal screws clockwise to tighten the clutch and
-
counter-clockwise toslacken the clutch.
Turn the adjustment screws in 1/4 steps until you are satisfied with
the result.

ETTING THE
IFFERENTIALS
The differentials of the X-Factor are filled with grease. The viscosity of the grease leads to a lock of the differential which is
suitable for most terrains and conditions. By exchanging the grease against highly viscose silicone differential oil the locking
effect can be modified. The higher the viscosity, the greater the locking effect.
-
If the model swerves in bends when loaded, you can loosen the rear differential or lock the front differential.
-
If the model understeers when loaded, lock the rear differential or loosen the front differential.
You can choose between silicone oil with a viscosity of XR 1,000 (small locking effect) to XR 50,000 (great
locking effect).
NOTE!
We only recommend exchanging the transmission grease to experienced users who know their model and
have adequate technical skills for taking out and disassembling the differentials.

EMOVING THE STABILISER BARS
The stabiliser bars are the U-shaped bars between the longitudinal swinging
arms on the front and rear. These give the X-Factor Monster Truck larger stabil-
ity during driving. They stiffen the shock absorbers and reduce heeling during
fast drives around curves on even ground.
The driving speed is lower on extreme terrain and the entire spring path is
desired. Maximum twist should also be possible. The stabiliser bars have to be
removed for this purpose.
-
Sever the cable clips that attach the stabilisers to the longitudinal
swinging arms and remove the stabilisers.
-
To replace the stabiliser bars, reattach them with cable clips.
CAUTION! If you remove the stabiliser bars, the X-Factor Monster
Truck tends to strongly incline to the side (tumbling) in fast curves.
