glued in place using UHU plus endfest 300 or cyano. Caution: apply the adhesive very carefully
to avoid soiling the clear glazing panels.
The removable side windows are attached using four 2.2 x 6.5 mm self-tapping screws each, as
shown in the drawing.
Drill the screw holes in the usual way, then extend them outwards to form open-ended slots.
The screws are tightened to the point where they just retain the window, so that the panel can
be fitted under the screw heads (and removed again) by bending it gently. Glue plywood
reinforcements to the inside of the moulding to accept the window screws.
The glazing panel set also includes a dummy exhaust moulded in smoked-tint plastic. You can
either cut it out without a flange and glue it directly to the fuselage turtle deck, or cut it out
leaving a flange about 8 mm wide. In this case open up the ends, fit it through a suitable
opening in the fuselage turtle deck from the inside, and glue it to the inside of the fuselage. You
can obtain a highly realistic finish on the exhaust pipe by painting it on the inside with an
airbrush or spray can; start with a thin (non-covering) overall coat of a copper colour, then silver,
and finally matt black.

1.10 Receiver aerial

The receiver aerial should be deployed as follows:
You will find slots in the sides of the battery console through which cable ties can be fitted to
retain a plastic sleeve (Order No. 3593) in which the aerial can reside. Slip the aerial in the tube
and arrange it inside the fuselage as follows: start at front right and then run it forward in as
broad a curve as possible through the nose of the fuselage, then to the left-hand side of the
battery console (fix it there with a cable tie), back along the mechanics sub-structure and finally
up to a point below the fan housing. Attach the sleeve to the mechanics using additional cable
ties as required.
The advantage of this method of aerial deployment is twofold: on the one hand the aerial is fixed
