3 Config Input
The meaning of these inputs is shown in the table below:

3.1 Config
If the "Config" input remains unused, it shall be connected to GND for rea-
sons of interference avoidance!
If the Config input is set to GND while sensor supply is being turned on,
then the sensor operates in the so-called boot loader mode for the first
10 s. This mode enables reprogramming of the encoder with new firmware.
Only competent experts must carry out this manipulation of encoder pro-
gramming. Upon termination of the boot loader mode, the encoder will be
in the service mode. The sensor can be parameterized and queried for sta-
tus information via the RS485 data interface which has now turned bidi-
rectional (D+, D-) (see chapter 9.2).

Encoder function
The sensor is in the boot loader mode for the first
10 s (installing new firmware enabled), then it
changes over to the service mode.
The sensor operates in the SIKONETZ3 mode.
