Check the condition of the machine before each use, in particular:
•
Inspect screws and cutting tool parts for wear or damage. Replace worn or damaged parts
completely to ensure balancing. Repairs may only be carried out by authorized specialist
workshops.

23. NOTE ON SAFE USE

•
Never operate the engine in closed or poorly ventilated rooms - toxic exhaust gases such as
carbon monoxide can be life-threatening.
•
Only start the machine outdoors or in well-ventilated areas. Remember: Exhaust fumes are
harmful to health!
•
Only use the machine in daylight or with sufficient artificial lighting. Keep children, animals and
unauthorized persons away from the work area.
•
Do not mow wet grass. Avoid working in rain, thunderstorms or bad weather - especially if
there is a risk of lightning.
•
Before starting: Disengage the mower or PTO shaft and put the gear in neutral.
•
Be particularly careful near obstacles with restricted visibility or potential hazards.
•
Always apply the parking brake when the machine is parked.
•
Never use the machine on slopes steeper than 10° (17 %), regardless of the mowing direction.
•
Reduce speed before changing direction on slopes. If the machine is unattended: activate the
parking brake.
•
Only reverse with extreme caution: Look behind you before and during the journey to avoid
people or obstacles.
•
When crossing unvegetated areas: Disengage the mower/PTO shaft and raise the cutting unit.
•
Watch out for traffic near public roads.
•
IMPORTANT: The machine is not approved for road traffic and may only be used on private
property (in accordance with StVO).
•
Only operate with intact guards and grass catcher, side discharge guard or rear discharge guard
fitted.
•
Never place your hands or feet near rotating parts. Keep a safe distance from the ejection
opening.
•
Do not leave the machine in tall grass with the engine running - fire hazard!
•
Never point the discharge opening of attachments at people.
•
Only use accessories and attachments approved by the manufacturer.
•
The machine must not be operated if attachments or tools are not correctly fitted.
•
Pay particular attention to working safely with grass catcher boxes and accessories that affect
the stability of the machine - especially on slopes.
•
Do not change any motor settings and do not exceed the specified motor speed.
•
Do not touch any motor parts during operation - risk of burns!
•
During transport or when not in use: Disengage the mower / PTO shaft.
•
Before switching off the engine: Gradually reduce the throttle. Disconnect the fuel supply
according to the engine manual.
