Note:
Take your foot off the pedal during normal riding - continuous braking can cause damage.
FIXED RELEASE LEVER (see Fig. 13.6)
The parking brake lever is used to secure the machine when stationary.
Activating the parking brake:
1. Fully depress the brake pedal.
2. Press the parking brake lever down and hold.
3. Release the brake pedal - the parking brake remains engaged.
Release the parking brake:
Fully depress the brake pedal again.
→ The lever releases automatically and returns to the upper position.
TRAVEL PEDAL (DRIVE PEDAL) (see Fig. 13.7)
(only with hydrostatic transmission / automatic transmission)
The accelerator pedal controls the drive of the machine and enables both forward and reverse
movement.
•
Riding forwards:
Press the pedal with the tip of your foot in the "F" (Forward) direction.
→ The harder you press, the faster the machine moves.
•
Riding backwards:
Press the pedal with your heel in the "R" (reverse) direction.
•
Stopping:
Release the pedal - the machine stops automatically and returns to the neutral position.
WARNING:
•
Only engage reverse gear when the machine has come to a complete standstill.
•
The parking brake must be released before the accelerator pedal is operated.
DRIVING LEVER (see Fig. 13.8)
(only for models with manual transmission)
The drive lever allows you to select a total of seven drive levels:
•
5 forward gears,
•
Neutral position "N",
•
Reverse gear "R".
Procedure for switching:
1. Depress the brake pedal to relieve the drive belt.
2. Move the drive lever to the desired position - as indicated on the operating label.
IMPORTANT:
Never shift directly between forward and reverse gear while the machine is still moving. Reverse gear
may only be engaged when the machine is completely stationary.
