be disposed of together with household
waste. Please use available collection points
to return and dispose of used electric and
electronic devices. This simplifies reuse and
recycling of electric devices and makes a significant
contribution towards environmental protection.

ulations and the RSS standards of Industry Canada for
licence-exempt radio devices. For operation, the follow-
ing conditions must be fulfilled:
(1) The device must not cause any damaging interfer-
ence.
(2) The device must be immune to interference, also in-
terference that could cause unwanted operating states.

17 .1 Scope of the guarantee

Truma, as the manufacturer of the device designated
in the operating instructions, voluntarily grants the
consumer a guarantee that covers any material and/or
manufacturing defects in the device.
This guarantee is valid in the member states of the
European Union as well as in the United Kingdom, Ice-
land, Norway, Switzerland and Turkey.
This guarantee covers any of the aforementioned de-
fects that occur within 24 months upon concluding the
purchase agreement between the Seller and the Con-
sumer. A Consumer is the natural person who was the
first one to purchase the device from the manufacturer,
OEM or dealer and who neither resold the device in a
commercial or self-employed professional capacity nor
installed it for a third party in such a capacity.
The manufacturer or a service partner authorised by
Truma shall remedy such defects by means of subse-
quent fulfilment, i.e. at its discretion by repairing or
replacement delivery, unless one of the reasons for
exclusion listed below applies.
At the discretion of the manufacturer or a service
partner authorised by Truma, the replacement of the
product or parts thereof may also be replaced with
previously installed or used parts that are equivalent in
performance to new parts.
Defective or exchanged parts or devices shall become
the property of the manufacturer or the service partner
authorised by Truma. If the device is no longer manu-
factured at the time of defect notification and if replace-
ment delivery has been opted for, then the manufactur-
er may deliver a similar product.
If the manufacturer remedies a defect under this
guarantee, the term of the guarantee shall not start
again with regard to the repaired or exchanged parts;
rather, the original guarantee period shall continue to
be applicable to the device. Only the manufacturer itself
or a service partner authorised by Truma is entitled to
conduct guarantee jobs. The costs incurred in the event
of a guarantee case are settled directly between the
service partner authorised by Truma and the manufac-
turer. The guarantee does not cover additional costs
arising from complicated removal or installation jobs on
the unit (e.g. dismantling of furnishings or parts of the
vehicle body), and neither does it cover travel expenses
incurred by the authorised service partner or Truma.
Further claims arising from this guarantee, in particular
claims for damages by the consumer or third parties,
are excluded. This shall not affect the regulations of the
German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz).
The legal warranty claims for defects of the consumer
against the Seller in the respective country of purchase
are not limited by this guarantee and may be asserted
free of charge independently of this guarantee.
