7.1
Start-up of the DYSSUCTION
Check the power supply unit with the power cord and all accessories to ensure that they are
not damaged and replace any components that are damaged.
1. Remove the device and accessories from the packaging.
2. Before switching on the device, leave it to acclimatise for about 2 hours at room
temperature (approx. 20 °C) to avoid damage to the device.
3. Position the device upright or horizontal (Abb. 5) on a flat, solid surface without tilting it.
The device can also be placed beside the patient's bed. Adjustable holders for tubing and
rail systems are available for this purpose.
It is the responsibility of the doctor to decide whether the patient's condition enables
wearable use.
4. Connect the device plug of the power supply unit to the suction device and only then
connect the power supply unit to the mains power.
5. Charge the battery completely before the initial use.
6. Inspect the device and test its functions (chapter 7.3).
7. Connect the disposable secretion container to the device (chapter 7.4).

3. Always place the device on a level, secure surface without tilting it.
The device can optionally be attached to tubing and rail systems and also to bed frames.
4. Connect the device plug of the power supply unit to the suction device and only then
connect the power supply unit to the mains power.
