6.6 Information on the disposable secretion container system for the
DYSSUCTION
The disposable secretion container system consists of the "Bag" external container, the holder for the
"Bag" external container, the "OneWay" suction bag, the disposable secretion container system
connecting tube and the disposable suction tube with stepped connector.
The "OneWay" suction bag and the disposable suction tube with stepped connector are
single-use products and must be disposed of after use.
The "Bag" external container and the disposable secretion container system connecting
tube are reusable accessories that are intended for one patient.
In this case observe the replacement intervals listed in chapter 11.
BACTERIA FILTER AND OVERFLOW PREVENTION
A bacteria filter, a charcoal filter and gelling agent are integrated into the suction bag "OneWay". The
self-sealing bacteria filter is effective against microorganisms.
If liquid reaches the filter, suction is no longer possible and the display shows the " system closed –
canister full" error message. This prevents oversuction. The "OneWay" suction bag must be changed.
The activated charcoal filter in the "OneWay" suction bag prevents the spread of odours.
GELLING AGENT
The "OneWay" suction bag that is filled with suctioned material can be safely transported and
discarded without leaks by using the gelling agent. Regardless of the suction intervals, the suctioned
liquid is thoroughly gelled after an average gel time of 2-5 minutes (depending on the consistency of
the secretion).
