SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Warning : the safety instructions are an integral part of the appliance. For your
own safety, please read them carefully before using it for the first time.
Always keep them handy.
USE YOUR COOK EXPERT SAFELY
This appliance must not be used by children. Keep the appliance and the power
cord out of reach of children. Children must not play with the appliance. Inform
children of the potential danger of heat and steam production, hot condensation
and burning-hot surfaces. Close surveillance is important if you use the Cook
Expert near children.
This appliance can be used by persons whose physical, sensory or mental capacities
are reduced, or by persons who do not have sufficient experience or know-how,
provided that they are supervised during use or have been instructed in the safe use
of the appliance and have understood any potential danger.
This appliance is for domestic use only. Its use in the following cases is not covered
by the warranty: in staff kitchen areas, in stores, offices and other working
environments, in farms, by guests in hotels, motels, bed & breakfasts, guest houses
and other residential environments.
Steam mode only: the appliance can be used by children above 8 provided they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a
safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and maintenance must
not be carried out by children under the age of 8 and always with the supervision
of an adult. Keep the appliance and the power cord out of reach of children under
the age of 8.
Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids in order to avoid the risk of
electrocution.
Never place the appliance on or near a gas burner or hot plate nor in a hot oven.
Keep the Cook Expert away from external sources of heat (including the power cord).
Do not use the appliance outdoors.
Never run the appliance in cooking mode if the bowl is empty.
All surfaces in contact with food must be cleaned with soapy water or washing-up
liquid (see further details under CLEANING).
