Automatic Rinsing
To make cleaning easier, run the Rinsing programme immediately after use.
Pour 0.5 litres of water into the metal bowl and add a few drops of washing-up liquid. Close
the lid and put the cap on. Start the RINSING programme. If the bowl is very dirty, you can
increase the amount of water and/or increase the speed.
Warning! Always remove the whisk before using the Rinsing programme
Rinse with tap water then thoroughly clean the bowl and any accessories.
Thorough Cleaning
Always unplug your appliance and wait for it to cool down.
Hold the lid with one of the two handles and remove the seal from the rim of the lid using the
2-in-1 spatula or a spoon. Do not pull on the edges of the seal
Also remove the seal from the Universal Tool or dough hook (see disassembly page 15). Clean
the area under the tool with a brush
All the parts (except for the motor base) are dishwasher-safe. However, it is not recommended
to put the Cook Expert in the dishwasher too often. Today's washing products can be very
abrasive and may damage the appliance in the long run. For the best long-term results we
recommend washing it by hand. Simply wash with soapy water, then rinse and dry carefully
before putting away.
If you are using a dishwasher, place the bowl flat upside down (3) with the handle facing
down. Once the washing cycle is complete, turn the bowl right side out to allow any water
that has seeped into the double wall to drain out through the underside of the handle. Once
it is dry, put it back on the base. To clean the motor base, wipe with a soft damp cloth and
dry thoroughly.

Cleaning the base :
If water gets inside the appliance, contact the After-Sales Service (see page 32). Do not use
sponges or abrasive products to clean the lid. Clean the different parts quickly after use. Do
not soak them for too long or they could be damaged.
Stubborn smells :
these can be prevented by washing the seals in the dishwasher. If the
appliance is not used for a long time, only screw the cap on loosely.
Burnt-on food: :
if food is burnt onto the bottom of the bowl, use white vinegar and leave to
soak if necessary. The metal part of the spatula may also be used for scraping (see page 21).
