Inserting the silicone attachment and filters in the
portafilter
The scope of delivery for the machine includes 1x silicone attachment, 1x
one-cup filter, 1x two-cup filter, 1x three-cup filter, and 1x blind filter with the
following functions:
•
Silicone attachment with two spouts for the controlled dispensing of
espresso
•
Cup filters for preparing espresso and cappuccino
•
Blind filter for cleaning the brew group

The silicone attachment is installed by default, but can be removed for
cleaning (see Chapter 11.1, "Cleaning the portafilter, silicone attachment, and
filters"). Install the silicone attachment as follows:
1.
Hold the portafilter with the P logo (4, Fig. 6) facing up.
2.
Use both hands to press the silicone attachment (2, Fig. 6) into the
portafilter from below until it has fully latched in place.
Insert the filters as follows:
1.
With one hand, hold the portafilter with the P logo (4, Fig. 6) facing up.
2.
Use the other hand to insert the relevant filter (1, Fig. 6) into the
portafilter.
3.
Press the filter in using both thumbs until it latches into place.
