To perform measurements
in AUTO
or TIME modes, after
pressing F3"AUTO" the dialog windows AUTO:, SET SCALATION
and AUTO-SAVE
are automatically opened
in turn. After
completing all entries, the appropriate operating mode is then
activated. Each time data are automatically saved, the data
record is assigned a number; because of this, the maximum
permissible number of nonnumerical
characters in the file
nameis limited to 5. Confirm each entry by striking the RETURN
or ENTER key to advance
to the next screen. In the AUTO: dialog
window you can choose between "AUTO SRQ" and "AUTO
TIMER'. In "AUTO SRQ" mode, data are automatically saved in
response to a trigger event. Afterwards the "RESET" function of
the scope is automatically activated.
In "AUTO TIMER" mode, after elapse of a period of time (which
must be entered in seconds) the scope's data memory is read
out and stored on a diskette or the hard disk.
Depending on the selected measurement mode, at the end of
the entry screen for "AUTO" you are requested to set the single
mode and the trigger level on the scope. After completing all
entries, press any key to start the measurement. To exit AUTO
mode, strike the "ESC" (Escape) key.
