Removal/installation of conveyor chain
(figs 40 and 50 through 53)
Preparation
To facilitate removal and installation of the conveyor
chain a special tool, in acc. with fig. 40, is required.
This special tool (in figs 50 through 53 indicated by
the pos.no. 37) is used to (dis)assemble the con-
necting link of the conveyor chain.
Installation procedure see page EN23.
Removal:
1)
Position the special tool (37) with the open
end of the tube pointing upward below the
connecting link of the chain (both link pins
shall be positioned "inside" the tube)(fig. 50).
2)
Remove the connecting spring, then cau-
tiously tap the link pins (39) out of the link
using a hammer (fig. 51); if required pull the
pins completely out by hand.
Attention:
Take special care of the 4 O-rings that
ensure the grease sealing of the chain!
3)
Now remove the chain from the sprockets.
