In order to prevent alloy rims from being damaged
while the tire is mounted/demounted, it is
recommended to install the toe guard and lock the
rim from the outside.

WARNING – if the wheel slips off the wheel-
locking device during mounting/demounting,
there is a risk of light or severe injury to the
user and damage to the rim!
If the rim is locked from the inside by the
securing brackets with the toe guard pictured
here, there is a risk that the rim might slip off
the wheel-locking device.

Always lock the rim from the outside if the
securing brackets are equipped with the
toe guard pictured here.
¶
If the rim has to be locked from the inside
like a steel rim, remove the toe guard
pictured here from the securing brackets
before positioning the wheel on the wheel-
locking device.
3. Place the tire on the rim at an angle.

5.2.2 Installation
Warning – Risk of hand injuries!
There is danger of crushing when rotating the
rim-chuck plate.
¶
Do not reach between the tire and the rim
with your fingers.
Warning: Danger of injury to the lower
extremities while the rim-chuck plate is
turning.
Danger of injury to the lower extremities due
to projecting parts under the rim-chuck plate.
¶
Always maintain a safe distance to the rim-
chuck plate.
¶
Always check to ensure the faultless status
of the plastic covers.
¶
Never remove the plastic covers. This
could be dangerous.

Turn the rim-chuck plate to move the tire valve to
between 2 and 4 o'clock position.
1. Press the pedal for the tilting mounting column to
move the mounting column into working position.

Make sure that the bottom tire bead passes the rim
flange and slips into the drop center.
2. With the locking lever, position the assembly tool on
the rim edge.

When you press the locking knob, the distance
of the assembly tool from the rib edge and
the mounting arm is simultaneously adjusted
horizontally and vertically.
3. Place the upper tire bead on the assembly tool and
prepare to mount it on the rim.
