Removal
WARNING – Risk of hand injuries!
¶
There is a risk of crushing hands when
rotating the rim-chuck plate.
¶
Do not reach between the tire and rim with
your fingers.
¶
As the tire moves, make sure that your
hands do not get caught between the tire
and rim-chuck plate.
1. Press the locking knob to release the extending
mast.
2. Press the pedal for the tilting mounting column to
move the mounting column to the rear.

Move the clamping jaws outwards using the
corresponding pedal in order to clamp the rim on
the outside.

The measurement scales on the rim-chuck plate
indicate the approximate rim diameter in inches. As
a result, the rim can be placed in position without
moving the rim-chuck claws again and projecting
beyond the outer diameter of the rim-chuck plate.

For clamping on the outside: set the mark (A) on the
rim-chuck claws to the rim diameter.

If the securing brackets are to be equipped with
the WDK plastic guard kits, follow the following
instructions to ensure correct use during mounting/
demounting.

In order to prevent alloy rims from being damaged
while the tire is mounted/demounted, it is
recommended to install the plastic guard and lock
the rim from the outside.

WARNING – if the wheel slips off the wheel-
locking device during mounting/demounting,
there is a risk of light or severe injury to the
user and damage to the rim!
If the rim is locked from the inside by the
securing brackets with the plastic guard
pictured here, there is a risk that the rim
might slip off the wheel-locking device.

Always lock the rim from the outside if the
securing brackets are equipped with the
plastic guard pictured here.
¶
If the rim has to be locked from the inside
like a steel rim, remove the plastic guard
pictured here from the securing brackets
before positioning the wheel on the wheel-
locking device.
3. Position the wheel on the rim-chuck plate.
4. Firmly press down the rim by hand and briefly
activate the rim-chuck claw pedal to clamp the rim.
