Fitting and adjusting the squeegee
To suit packaging requirements, the squeegee may be supplied dismantled from
the machine, in which case it must be fi tted on the drive plate on the scrub-
ber-drier. To fi t the squeegee, proceed as follows:
•
Set the centering holes 1 under the slots 2.
•
By knobs 3 fi t the squeegee 4 on the plate 5.
•
Fit the vacuum hose 6 on squeegee.
For perfect fl oor drying, the squeegee must be properly adjusted. fl oor-washer
uses a V-shaped squeegee as shown in fi g. 2/a.
This type of squeegee conveys the water eff ectively towards the suction pipe,
but it must be parallel to the fl oor.
For good squeegee operation, it is important to set the ideal working angle in
relation to the fl oor. The rubber strip "A" on the back of the squeegee must work
vertical and on its edge, as shown in the diagram, so that the liquid is collected
on the front edge of the strip. To obtain this, proceed as follows:
•
Adjusting the knob 7 clockwise (tighten) to increase the squeegee angle
or anti-clockwise (unscrew) to reduce the angle.
The squeegee's height above the ground has to be set to suit the type of fl oor to
be dried and the level of wear of its rubber strips. To do this, see below:
•
Un-screw the screws 8.
•
Set the wheels 9 to adjust the height of the squeegee and/or adjust the
pressure on the fl oor.
These screws are also used to adjust the squeegee so that it works parallel to the
fl oor. For a long rubber strip lifetime, use as little pressure as is necessary to give
a good level of drying.
Note that often poor drying is caused by inadequate performance of the suction
system. In this case:
•
Thoroughly clean the suction lines, the intakes, the fi lters and the sque-
egee itself.
•
Check operation of the suction motors.
•
Check that all the tank inspection openings are properly closed.

Montaje y regulación de la boquilla de secado
Por razones de embalaje la boquilla de secado puede entregarse desmontada de
la máquina y, en tal caso, deberá fi jarse a la placa de tracción de la fregadora-se-
cadora. Para montar la boquilla de secado seguir las siguientes instrucciones:
•
Posiciónar los dos orifi cios de centraje 1 en correspondéncia con las ra-
nuras 2 del soporte.
•
Por medio de los pomos 3 fi jar la boquilla de secado 4 en el soporte 5.
•
Introducir el tubo de aspiración 6 en el manguito de la boquilla de se-
cado.
Para secar el pavimento correctamente es esencial que la boquilla está perfecta-
mente regulada. La fregadora-secadora utiliza una boquilla de secado en forma "
tipo V ", como se aprecia en la fi g. 2/a.
Esto tipo de boquilla de secado recoge bien el agua hacia el tubo de aspiración,
pero se ve afectado por las irregularidades del terreno.
Para que la boquilla funciona correctamente se debe encontrar el ángulo de tra-
bajo adecuado con respecto al suelo. La goma posterior A de la boquilla debe tra-
bajar en vertical y su ángulo, como muestra la fi gura, de manera que los líquidos
se recojan por la cara anterior de la goma. Para ello debe efectuarse lo siguiente:
•
Girar hacia la derecha (roscar) el pomo 7 para regularlo y aumentar la in-
clinación de la boquilla de secado y girar hacia la izquierda (desenroscar)
para disminuir la inclinación.
La distancia de la boquilla desde el suelo se debe regular en función de los dife-
rentes tipos de suelo a secar y del desgaste de las gomas, para ello proceder en
la siguiente manera:
•
Afl ojar los tornillos 8.
•
Actuar sobre rueda 9 para regular la altura de la boquilla de secado y
regular sobre le pavimento.
Estos mismos tornillos también sirven para regular la boquilla de secado de ma-
nera que trabaje paralelamente con respecto al suelo.
Para obtener la máxima duración de las gomas, la presión debe ser la mínima
indispensable, aun obteniendo un buen secado.
A menudo un mal funcionamiento de la aspiración afecta negativamente al se-
cado; en este caso:
•
Limpiar a fondo los conductos de aspiración, las entradas, los fi ltros y la
boquilla.
•
Comprobar el funcionamiento de los motores de aspiración;
•
Comprobar que todas los orifi cios de inspección del depósito estén bien
cerrados.
