In convection air systems, part of the heat produced by com-
bustion is blown into the room by the air flow moving through
the convection jacket, the ducts and the convection-air
grates. Depending on needs, fireplaces are designed either
for operation using natural convection (S fireplaces) or by

fan-driven convection (V fireplaces).
