Design, structure, characteristics and operation/use

microStop® Microbial Barrier
The microStop ® sterile barrier consists of a system integrated into the underside of the container cover (5)
plus a microStop ® disk (8) that must be connected to this system before starting the sterilization process.
Rotating the microStop® disk clockwise until it locks home (bayonet catch), firmly connecting it to the lid.
Rotating it counterclockwise (unlocking the bayonet catch) allows the microStop® disk to be removed for
routine cleaning and inspection. A visual check for cleanliness and lack of damage is mandatory for all
packaging processes.
Visual check of the inserted microbial barrier from outside
The air inlet openings provided in the upper surface of the lid allow the user to check at all times whether
the yellow microStop® disk (8) has been installed.
Cover Seal
The inner edge of the cover features an all-around silicone seal (10) that ensures a tight fit and total
impermeability to germs. The seal is mounted in such a way that it can be accessed for cleaning. The seal
must not be removed.
Container Lock/Cover Lock
Closing of the container
Place the container cover (5) onto the container box (9) and press it down until you can feel and hear it lock
in place. To facilitate the process, we recommend placing the container on a solid level surface first.
Opening of the container
By pressing the red opening buttons (7) on the front face at the same time, the lid will release from the
container. To avoid damage to the cover locking mechanism, the cover may be removed only after both
sides have been unlocked! The locking mechanism is designed to be maintenance-free.
Sealing the Container
The container front plate (2) features an integrated socket to accommodate a single-use seal that ensures
easy recognition of any accidental or unauthorized opening of the container. The sealed opening buttons
can only be operated again after the seal has been destroyed and removed.
