Removing Residues

Stubborn residues or dirt on the container box that cannot be removed during the usual cleaning process
(such as adhesive labels, indicator strips, lettering) can be removed with commercial cleaners for anodized
surfaces. Residues found on the container cover or front plates must be removed with commercially
available cleaners such as rinsing liquids (mild dishwashing liquids), neutral cleaning agents or alcohol.
Following this special treatment, both the container box and cover should either be thoroughly rinsed or
subjected to routine cleaning.
6

Container Loading

When loading the container, always maintain a clearance of at least 10 mm between the container load
and the microStop® microbial barrier (8) to ensure a uniform distribution of the in-flowing steam. If the
system is constantly overloaded, deformation of the container (box or cover) cannot be excluded.
Maximum loading weight = 2.0 kg.
Information for validation of the container load can be found in the international DGSV guideline
"Validation of packaging processes according to DIN EN ISO 11607-2".
6.1

Functional Check before Loading

Before use, all components of the container must be subjected to a visual check for possible damage. Pay
special attention to the following:
Metal parts; the container box must not be deformed
Plastic parts are intact, without fractures/cracks
Seals are intact
microStop® disk is intact
Damaged parts must be replaced or serviced immediately and may not be used any longer. The cover
seal (3) must be free from visible defects, otherwise it must be replaced. Only cleaned container assemblies
may be used. When locking, the seal must sit fully flush around the tank.
6.2

Loading the Container with Instruments

We assume that the medical devices in the container will be sterilized in wire baskets according to
DIN 58952-2 and DIN 58952-3. The products are to be fixated using suitable storage aids such as silicone
strips. Hollow objects, trays, plates or similar convex forms should be stored with their openings facing
downward.
