Adjusting the automatic safety release function
The automatic release is designed to pro-
tect the transmission components from
overloads (e.g. if the dispenser jams, etc.).
The device, installed on every planting
unit, is already set by the manufacturer
during the testing stage, but can be ad-
justed by the user according to require-
ments.
For adjustments, proceed as outlined be-
low.
1) Turn the ring nut (A) clockwise to in-
crease the release resistance (i.e. less
sensitive).
Turn the ring nut (A) anticlockwise to
decrease the release resistance (i.e.
more sensitive).
Adjustment of dispenser chain tension
NOTICE
Do not overtighten the chain as this
could cause premature wear of the
chain and the sprockets.
Proceed as outlined below.
1) Unscrew the nuts (A).
2) Remove the washers (B).
3) Remove the mobile guard (C).
4) Loosen the nut (D).
5) Move the tensioner to tension the
chain correctly.
6) Tighten the nut (D).
7) Place the mobile guard (C).
8) Position the washers (B).
9) Tighten the nuts (A).
Adjusting the release chain tension
NOTICE
Do not overtighten the chain as this
could cause premature wear of the
chain and the sprockets.
Proceed as outlined below.
Use the nut (A) to adjust the chain ten-
sion.
- Carry out the same procedure to adjust
the other planting units installed.
