Screw the knuckle eye completely into the transducer.

Unscrew the knuckle eye 1 to 2 threads and align.
S
Load the transducer with 110% of the force that will occur during subsequent opera­
tion in the tensile direction.
S
Tighten the locknut by hand.
S
Relieve the load on the transducer.
2. Installation of knuckle eye and locking with torque:
S
Rotate the locknut back to the eye.
S
Screw the knuckle eye completely into the transducer.
S
Align the knuckle eye.
S
Tighten the locknut with a torque of 15 Nm.
Notice
When locking, the tightening torque must not be shunted through the transducer.
Notes on mounting with knuckle eyes
1. Shaft diameter
When using a sensor with knuckle eyes mounted on one or both sides, make sure that the
shaft is the right size.
You will find the diameters of the knuckle eyes and shafts and their recommended
tolerances in the table below.
