The example shows the correction for a sensor that can be loaded in both directions
(tensile and compressive force). The display of the physical value deviates at the begin­
ning of the measuring range (0%) by -0.0034%. In the middle (unloaded sensor, 50%)
there is no deviation; at the end of the measuring range (100%) the display deviates by
-0.0276%. Note that the physical measuring range of the sensor as specified in the basic
template must not be exceeded by the entries made. Use values greater than 0% and/or
less than 100% as necessary if the deviations would otherwise lie outside.

The IEEE1451.4 standard makes provision for other templates over and above those ex­
plained here. Most of these additional templates describe other transducer types.
