HBM template: Signal Conditioning
When creating the template, a definition is entered about the possible settings for which
entries may be stored in the TEDS memory. You can, for example, create the template in
such a way that the only value which may be stored in TEDS is the cut-off frequency for
the low-pass filter.

HBM template: Channel Name
The template allows you to store up to 45 ASCII characters (7 bits) in the TEDS module.
The characters can be used as channel names by the measuring instrument. Note that
some devices have limitations regarding the possible characters for the channel name.
HBM template: User Defined ID
The template allows you to store up to 15 ASCII characters (7 bits) in the TEDS module,
such as to describe the measuring point.
IEEE template: Calibration Curve
The template may exist in addition to the basic template. If the measuring amplifier is
able to analyze the template, you can use it to specify a more precise characteristic curve
in the form of a polynomial. The polynomial may relate to the electrical or physical val­
ues. In the example in the table, a third-degree polynomial for a force transducer is used:
