Währenddessen sollte gleichzeitig beim Kühlwasserausgleichstank
Wasser nachgefüllt werden. Sobald das angesaugte Kühlwasser in der
klarsichtigen Entlüftungsleitung erkennbar ist, kann der Generator ge-
startet werden (hierzu sind selbstverständlich alle anderen Maßnahmen
zu berücksichtigen, wie z.B. die Überprüfung, ob Motoröl aufgefüllt ist
etc., wie sie für die Inbetriebnahme des Generators vorgeschrieben
sind).
Während des Startvorganges muß am geöffneten Kühlwasseraus-
gleichsbehälter ständig Kühlwasser nachgefüllt werden, so daß von
oben keine weitere Luft mehr in das System eindringen kann.
Während des Startversuches sollte die Entlüftungsleitung mit ihrem
anderen Ende in die offenstehende Einfüllöffnung des Kühlwasseraus-
gleichsbehälters eingelegt sein, so daß das dort vermutlich austretende
Kühlwasser wieder in den Behälter zurückläuft.
Es ist entscheidend für den Erfolg dieser Prozedur, daß genügend
Wasser bis in die interne Kühlwasserpumpe vordringt, so daß die
Kühlwasserpumpe ihre Funktion aufnehmen kann. Die Kühlwasser-
pumpe kann kein Wasser fördern, solange sich Luft in ihrem Gehäuse
befindet.

During the starting process, the coolant expansion tank must be continu-
ally refilled with coolant so that no further air can force its way into the
system from above. The other end of the ventilation pipe should be laid
in the open coolant expansion tank filling opening, so that outflowing
coolant runs back into the tank.

Decisive for the success of this procedure is that sufficient water

The coolant pump cannot draw water as long as there is air in the
casing.
