EINBAUHINWEISE
4.1
Hinweis zur Installation, um eine optimale Schall-
dämmung zu erreichen
Die Panda Generatoren werden normalerweise mit einer Schall-
dämmkapsel geliefert. Diese Schalldämmkapsel wurde so gebaut, daß
damit eine gute Voraussetzung für eine effektive Schalldämmung gege-
ben ist. Um aber auch wirklich ein gutes Resultat zu bekommen, sind
einige weitere Faktoren zu berücksichtigen:
4.1.1 Aufstellungsort
Es muß vermieden werden, daß leichte Wände oder Böden in der Nähe
sind, die durch Luftschall in Resonanzschwingungen geraten können.
Wenn dies unvermeidlich ist, kann u.U. eine Auskleidung solcher Flächen
mit 1mm Bleifolie helfen. Dies verändert die Masse und damit das
Schwingverhalten. Als Fundament bietet eine massive Stahlplatte die
besten Voraussetzungen, wenn das Gewicht eine untergeordnete Rolle
spielt. Ein Gewicht von ca. 80kg ist optimal.

Es ist extrem schlecht, wenn der Generator auf einer glatten Fläche mit
geringer Masse steht (z.B. Sperrholzplatte). Dies wirkt u.U. wie ein
Verstärker auf die Luft-Schallwellen.
Solche Flächen sollten mindestens durch Rippen verstärkt werden.
Wenn eben möglich, sollten auch Durchbrüche gesägt werden, die die
Fläche unterbrechen.
Das Verkleiden der umgebenden Wände und der Flächen mit einer
Schwerschicht (z.B. Blei) plus Schaumstoff verbessern die Bedingungen
in jedem Fall.

4.1
Installation Instructions for Optimal Sound &
Vibration Insulation
Panda generators are usually equipped with a sound cover. The casing
has been designed to give an effective sound insulation. For optimum
sound and vibration dampening, the following factors should be consid-
ered.
4.1.1 Mounting Location
Avoid mounting the generator in close proximity to thin walls or floors as
they may resonate. If this cannot be avoided, a 1mm lead foil rein-
forcement on the thin panels may help as this alters the wall's or floor's
mass and thus the resonant frequency. If weight is not an important
consideration, a heavy base plate weighing about 80kg (175 lb.) is
recommended.

Such thin plywood panels can resonate and amplify the
vibration.
Ein durchlaufender Holzboden ist die schlechteste Lösung. Er wirkt
u.U. wie ein Verstärker.
Mounting on a full wooden floor should be avoided completely. The
floor will act as a vibration amplifier.
Sound dampening is extremely poor if the genset is mounted on a light
weight flimsy surface such as plywood which will only amplify vibrations.
If mounting on a thinner surface cannot be avoided, they should at least
be reinforced with stiffening struts or ribbing. If possible, holes should be
bored or cut through the surface to help reduce the resonance.
Covering the surrounding walls and floors with a heavy coating plus foam
will certainly improve the situation.
