5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
a. After each use
• Always unplug the appliance and leave it to cool completely before cleaning it.
• After each use, empty the water tank and drain; then clean each part of the appliance thoroughly.
• Take care to empty and drain the back of the appliance: remove all removable parts (lid, glass dish,
tank), unscrew the button and empty the water by angling the appliance base.
• To clean the inside of the base, use a damp sponge and a teaspoonful of sodium bicarbonate; wipe
carefully and then rinse in clean water.
• Never use bleach to clean the appliance.
• Never put the appliance base in the dishwasher.
• Store the appliance dry, out of reach of children.
b. Descaling
After a few months of use, scale may build up. It is recommended to descale the appliance regularly
in order to ensure optimal steam production is maintained and increase its useful life.
To descale: fill half the tank with water and the other half with vinegar. Position the glass dish and lid.
