9. Getting started with the transmitter

Please note:
In the operating instructions, the numbers in the text always refer to the figure opposite
or the figures within the section. Cross references to other figures are indicated with the
respective figure number.

a) Screwing on the antenna of the transmitter

If necessary, the antenna of the transmitter is inserted, as far as it will go, from the front/top though
the circular opening into the casing of the transmitter (also see Figure 1, pos. 1) and is then seized like
a screw. Seize the antenna as much as this is possible manually. Use neither force nor tools to tighten
it.
b) Inserting the batteries
For the power supply of the transmitter, there are 4 alkaline batteries (e.g. Conrad item no.: 650117),
size Mignon (AA), required.
To insert the batteries or rechargeable batteries, proceed as follows:
• The battery compartment cover (1) is located
on the rear side of the transmitter. Remove the
retaining screw (2) of the battery compartment
cover with a suitable screwdriver and take off
the cover.
• Now insert 4 batteries into the battery compart-
ment. Observe the correct polarity of the indi-
vidual cells. A corresponding note (3) is located
on the bottom of the battery compartment.
• Put the cover of the battery compartment back
onto the model and close it by tightening the
screws.
