Transmitter Aerial Adjustment
The movable Tx aerial should be
placed in the horizontal position in
use (see photo) to maintain the opti-
mum radiation pattern.
Never point the aerial directly at the
model as the radiation strength is at
its lowest in a plane extending from
the tip of the aerial!
NOTE:
Do not handle or touch the aerial when in flight as this greatly reduces the
radiated power and corresponding range.
Frequency Band Selection
The 2,4 GHz ISM Frequency band varies bet-
ween countries, e.g.France. For use in France,
the frequency band is changed. The receiver
must be re- linked or „re-bound" in such case.
FRANCE (Frankreich)
(2407.424 - 2450.432 MHz)
GENERAL (Universell)
(2405.376MHz - 2477.056 MHz)
Important advice on frequency selection within the 2.4 GHz
band
Operating areas: EU States, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Russia.
There are two different, area-related frequency bands for use in 2.4
GHz.
1. 2405,375...2477,056 MHz, Area Setting „General".
This frequency band is not registered in all EU Member States , e.g.
France, and that is why the Mark „CE" ! has been applied. Also this
device must be registered with or „notified" to the relevant national
authorities by the manufacturer. Due to the missing frequency ho-
mologations across the world, different national regulations for the
use of, and the radiated power allowed within the 2.4 GHz band might
apply in your area of operation.
2. 2407,424...2450,432 MHz, Area Setting „France".
This frequency band is harmonised and registered for use throughout
the EU, and is „CE" marked. Here is no registration required and no
national limitations apply.
Recommendation:
For the countries such as Austria, France, Russio, Italy, Belgium and
Spain, which must use the frequency band 2 (2400.....2454 MHz), select
„Area Setting France" (see instructions). In Romania and Bulgaria, in-
dividual authorisation is required, pleas contact your local authorities.
In Norway, operation within a 20 km radius of the Research Station Ny
Aeeslund is forbidden.
Operating the Module
Set the Tx software to PPM (FM).
Channel setting 7CH - MULTI
Changing the module from 12 to 7 channels, is made via the
mechanical switch on the front face of the module. After re-set-
ting this switch, the transmitter must be turned off and on again,
so that the settings become active.
Important:
When using 4-7 channel receivers, the Tx module must be switched to
„7CH" operation.

Receiver Pairing
The individual code number of the transmitter (130 million codes) is auto-
matically stored in the receiver by pressing the „EASY LINK" button. With
this „binding or pairing", the receiver will only respond to the signal of the
„paired/linked" transmitter.
• Place the transmitter and receiver close together (approx. 1 m)
Switch on transmitter
Switch on receiver power supply
Press the Easy Link (ID Set)but-
ton on the receiver for at least one second
and release in oder to „bind" the receiver to
the transmitter.
The green LED illuminates to indicate that receiver pairing has
been completed successfully.
This fixed pairing or binding of the transmitter to the receiver creates opti-
mum conditions for an even more efficient suppression of interference
compared to conventional systems. This is because the digital filter will
only filter out the control pulses of the paired transmitter. This, effectively
suppresses interference and the possible influences of other transmitters
in range.
Several receivers may be paired to to the same module. Should the „pai-
ring" need to be made with another module, press the „EASY LINK „ but-
ton once again.
This style of pairing is the same for all FASST receivers!
