MUFFLER SCREEN
WARNING
The engine and the muffler will
be very hot after the engine has
been run.
Avoid touching the engine and
741-001
the muffler while they are still
hot with any part of your body
or clothing during inspection or
repair.
1. Loosen the bolt, and then
remove the muffler cap, the
muffler screen and the wash-
er.

2. Clean the carbon deposits out
of the muffler screen using a
wire brush.
NOTICE
When cleaning, use the wire
711-064
brush lightly to avoid damaging
or scratching of the muffler
screen.
3. Check the muffler screen.
Replace it if damaged.
4. Install the washer, the muffler
screen and the muffler cap,
and then tighten the bolt.

GRILLE DU SILENCIEUX
Le moteur et le silencieux sont
brûlants après que le moteur a
fonctionné.
Ne touchez pas le moteur ni le
silencieux lorsqu'ils sont encore
brûlants avec quelque partie de
votre corps que ce soit ou vos
vêtements.
1. Desserrez le boulon puis retirez
le bouchon du silencieux, la
grille du silencieux et la ron-
delle.

2. Éliminez les dépôts de calami-
ne de la grille du silencieux à
l'aide d'une brosse métallique.
Pour le nettoyage, utilisez la
brosse métallique avec précau-
tion pour ne pas détériorer ou
érafler la grille du silencieux.
3. Vérifiez la grille du silencieux.
Remplacez-la si elle est
endommagée.
4. Installez la rondelle, la grille
du silencieux et le bouchon du
silencieux, puis serrez le bou-
lon.
