WARNING
There is a risk of injury if you work with a
damaged blade.
–
Wear protective gloves!
–
For safety reasons you should only ever have your
blade sharpened and balanced by an authorised
specialist workshop. For optimum results it is rec-
ommended that the blade should be inspected once
a year.
–
When changing the blade, only use original spare
parts.
1. Empty the fuel tank (4) with a fuel extraction pump be-
fore removing the cutting edge. Never tilt the lawn
mower to the side or forward with a full fuel or oil tank!
This will damage the engine and void the warranty.
2. Hold the blade (17) tightly with one hand.
3. Using an open-end spanner AF17, turn the blade
screw (17a) anticlockwise from the engine spindle
(17c). Remove the washer (17d) and washer (17b).
4. Re-install the new blade (17) in reverse order. Fasten
the blade screw (17a) properly. Make sure that the
blade (17) is correctly positioned and flush against the
engine spindle (17c).
5. The tightening torque of the blade screw (17a) is
45 Nm. Also replace the blade screw (17a) when re-
placing the blade (17).
13.2.1.1
Should the blade (17) come into contact with an obstruc-
tion, shut down the engine immediately and remove the
spark plug connector (8).
• Check the blade (17) for damage.
• Damaged or bent blades (17) must be replaced.
• Never attempt to bend a bent blade (17) back to
straight again.
• Never mow the lawn with a bent or heavily worn blade
(17) as this will cause vibrations and can lead to fur-
ther damage to the lawnmower.
