1. To remove the grass collection basket (15), lift the
rear discharge flap (14).
2. Take out the grass collection basket (15) by the carry-
ing handle. In accordance with the safety regulations,
the discharge flap (14) closes when the grass collec-
tion basket (15) is unhooked and closes the rear ejec-
tion opening.
If grass cuttings remain in the opening, it is advisable to
pull the lawnmower back about one metre to make it easi-
er to start the engine.
ATTENTION
Do not remove cuttings in the mower housing and on
the working tool by hand or with your feet, but with suit-
able aids, e.g. brush or hand brush.
To ensure good collection, the grass collection basket
(15) and in particular the air filter (5a) must be cleaned
from the inside after use.
11.2
Mowing with the mulching insert
When mulching, the cuttings are shredded in the closed
lawn mower housing and distributed over the lawn
through the mulch insert. This eliminates the need for
grass collection and disposal. The fine green waste falls
back into the grass root as a natural fertiliser, adds mois-
ture to the lawn and supplies it with important nutrients.
ATTENTION
Mulching is only possible on relatively short lawns.
11.2.1
Inserting the mulching insert (14a)
(Fig. 12)
1. Lift the discharge flap (14).
2. Remove the grass collection basket (15) (if used) by
the carrying handle.
3. Lift the discharge flap (14) and insert the mulching in-
sert (14a).
4. Adjust the cut height (see. 10.3).
Note:
Cut the grass back by 2 cm if the grass is 4-6 cm high.
11.3
Starting the engine
NOTE
The blade rotates when the engine is started.
Do not start the product if the ejector chute is covered by
one of the following parts:
• Grass collection basket
• Mulching insert
11.3.1
Starting the engine (Fig. 1, 9, 16)
1. Check the fuel and engine oil level before each start
(see sections 10.1) and 10.2). Make sure that the
spark plug connector (8) is connected to the spark
plug (8a).
2. In colder temperatures, press the fuel pump "primer"
(6) three times. This makes it easier to start the prod-
uct.

3. Stand behind the lawnmower. One hand pushes the
engine brake lever (1b) to the steering, the other pulls
the pull starter (16).
4. Start the engine with the pull starter (16). To do this,
pull the handle out approx. 10-15 cm (until resistance
is felt). And then pull hard with a jerk. If the engine
does not start, pull on the pull starter (16) again.
5. Due to protective coating on the engine, a small
amount of smoke may be present during the initial use
of the product and should be considered normal. This
is a normal process.
NOTE
Only use the fuel pump "primer" when the
engine is cold!
ATTENTION
–
Do not let the pull starter whip back in. This can re-
sult in damage.
–
In case of cool weather, it may be necessary to re-
peat the starting process numerous times.
11.4
Shut off engine
WARNING
Danger of injury!
After switching the engine off, the blade continues to
run for a few seconds. If you touch the rotating parts,
you may cut yourself.
–
Wait until the blade comes to a standstill.
–
Do not stop the blade with your hand.
–
Wear protective gloves.
–
Keep the blade away from your feet.
1. To switch off the engine, release the engine brake le-
ver (1b). Wait until the blade (17) stops.
2. The engine does not have a fuel valve. The fuel sup-
ply is stopped automatically when the engine stops.
3. Remove the spark plug connector (8) from the spark
plug (8a) if the product will not be used for a long peri-
od of time.
11.5
Driving mode (Fig. 1)
The lawnmower is equipped with a rear-wheel drive.
11.5.1
1. Start the lawnmower (see 11.3.1).
2. Pull and hold the drive bow (1a) to the steering.
3. The drive is switched on (the drive wheel (12) moves)
and the lawnmower starts to move forwards.
ATTENTION
Avoid damage to the product! Avoid damage to the
product! Always operate the drive bow completely (until
it reaches the stop) to avoid consequential damage to
the transmission.
11.5.2
1. Release the drive bow (1a). The drive is switched off
and the lawnmower stops.
