Push the lever smoothly until stopped by the handle and the machine will immediately start moving forward or backwards in
accordance with the position of the travel speed selector lever.
Once you press the lever and the machine starts moving forward, adjust your walking speed to the machine speed!
3.4.2.4 Machine Stopping
To stop the machine travel, release the lower lever on the right handle. Due to the resistance of the oil in the hydrostatic gearbox, the
accidental movement of the machine is blocked. The exception is the assembly of the carrier and the sulky (the operator seat carriage) or of
the carrier and the single-axle trailer. Due to the higher total weight of the sulky and the trailer, the assembly can be accidentally set in
motion when parked on the slope. Therefore, always secure the assembly against the movement by pressing service foot brake of the trailer
or the sulky (the seat carriage).
3.4.2.5 Service and Parking Brake
The service brake serves for decreasing the speed of travelling of the machine on the sloped terrain for a short while. It is controlled by a
lever on the lower side of the left grip of the handlebars (
Always use the brake when manually moving the machine down the slopes. Due to the high weight of the
assembly of the carrier and the tool, the machine generates high kinetic energy.
Because the gearbox drive is not automatically disengaged when one pushes the brake lever, the machine goes on
moving at the original speed when the brake lever is released.
You should also use the parking brake to secure the machine against the accidental movement on the slopes, especially when using the
multifunctional carrier in connection with attachments equipped with wheels (such as the hay tedder or sulky).
1)
Push the brake lever and hold it by the handle.
2)
By using the other hand, secure the lever with the red positioning lock (
3)
The lock is unblocked automatically. Push the lever until it is stopped by the handle and cannot be pushed further, in which case
the positioning lock will automatically spring up.
Always secure the assembly of the multifunctional carrier and the single-axle carrier against accidental
movement by employing the parking brake of the trailer! The parking brake of the multifunctional carrier should
only be used as an auxiliary brake.
You can use the brake as an additional
transporting the machine by car.
3.4.3 Control Elements for Initiating the Drive for the Attachment and their Use
The drive clutch for the attachments is engaged by the clutch lever on the right handle (
the safety lock against sudden unwanted initiation of the drive (
3.4.3.1 Attachment Drive Clutch Engagement
A new machine, or a clutch after replacement of the clutch plate, requires certain time for the clutch lining to run in. Over this
run-in period the engagement of the clutch may be accompanied by a smell (and even possibly by the smoke for a moment) that
is typical for thermally stressed the clutch or brake lining. Due to the used type of lining, this phenomenon is not the reason for
the complaint.
Place the end of the right hand palm onto the edge of the control lever
and should be directed to the right.
Press the safety lock button
By applying pressure with the palm, start to tilt the lever
Engage the clutch by moving the lever as far as it is possible towards the handle. The speed with which the clutch gets engaged differs
from one attachment tool to another; therefore, comply with instructions for correctly engaging the clutch that are always included with
every attachment.
The lever must be always entirely pressed towards the handle; otherwise the clutch slip may occur.
The clutch slip that lasts longer or that occurs more often always causes heating of the clutch lining, which negatively
affects the service life of the clutch plate and the axial clutch bearing and which can be accompanied by a smell that is
typical for thermally stressed clutch or brake lining.
It is prohibited to remove the accumulated processed material that prevents the fast and smooth engagement of
the clutch by setting the tool in motion using the controlled clutch slip. First, you should empty the area of the
work tool and only after that continue working.
Whenever the clutch starts slipping, release the clutch control lever as fast as possible. Thus, you shall prevent
the clutch from being highly thermally stressed.

Engaging the service brake never replaces other fixation means (e.g. binding straps, ropes, etc.).
