3.3.2 Description of the Machine and its Components
The frame of the
RAPTOR Hydro K
screwed to the steel welding assembly of the lower frame. Various work tools are attached to lugs in the front part of the lower frame with
four bolts. The lower frame is fitted with a massive bumper with an integrated hitch for connecting the single-axle trailer. Within the lower
frame, the TUFF TORQ K-46ED hydrostatic gearbox with an automatic differential lock and an integrated brake for slowing or stopping the
travel of the machine is fastened. The travel wheels are fitted with tyres with the VARI GRASS TRACK chevron tread pattern and have
tubes inside the tyres. The steel rims have holes for fixing the additional wheel weights. The four-stroke single-cylinder air-cooled petrol
engine with the vertical shaft is fixedly seated in the upper pressed part of the frame. The gearbox drive is fitted with the heat-resistant
OPTIBELT v-belt made of Kevlar; the tensioning pulley at the same time serves as the clutch for initiating the travel movement. The travel
clutch is controlled by the lower control lever on the right grip of the handlebars. The drive of the attached work tools is engaged through
the single-plate VARI NORAM clutch with an integrated brake. The clutch is controlled by the upper lever (with a safety lock) on the right
grip of the handlebars. The brake of the travel is controlled by the control lever on the left grip; by fixing the lever in the engaged position
the brake serves as a parking brake. The handlebars are made of a steel tube and are adjustable both horizontally and vertically. The plastic
fuel tank with the capacity of 4.5 litres is placed to the steel press-moulded handlebars beam, which is mounted on the chassis of the
machine in the vibration-reducing silentblocks The filling hole is fitted with a screw cap with the bleeder. In the fuel system, a filter and a
three-way valve are integrated, which allows for toggling between the engine fuel tank and the auxiliary fuel tank within the beam of the
handlebars; it is also possible to fully close the flow of the fuel into the engine.
3.4 Operating Instructions
3.4.1 Assembling and Putting the Machine into Operation
As part of the pre-sale service, ask your retailer to assemble the machine for you and to demonstrate how it should be
used!
If you are to unpack and assemble the machine by yourself, use the assistance of another person due to the high total
weight of the machine.
3.4.1.1 Unpacking
There are two methods to unpack the machine:
1)
Grasp the machine endur the engine at the lower part of the chassis and in the rear by the tubes of the handlebars as indicated
at Fig. 2 on page 87 by the arrow symbol and pull it upwards out of the box, or
2)
cut away the rear wall of the box with a sharp knife and move out the machine from the box by travelling backwards.
In order to prevent the machine from falling to the side where the engine is situated, support the machine at the point under the rear
hitch with a suitable and sufficiently stable support that is 20 cm high, as indicated at Fig. 2 on page 87 . Use the support always when a
tool is not attached.
3.4.1.2 Machine Assembly Procedure
The machine is supplied completely assembled and adjusted. Loose the tightening nut and lift the handlebars upwards. Turn the
handlebars by 180° clockwise and secure the handlebars joint in the central position, see chapter 3.4.1.4 Handlebars Adjustment .
3.4.1.3 Operating Fluids
The machine may be shipped without its engine operating fluids (depending on different national regulations)!
1)
Check the engine oil level or fill the engine with the specified type and amount of oil.
2)
Fill the tank with the prescribed quantity and type of petrol
3)
The travel transmission is already filled with oil by the manufacturer
bottom of the tank. For oil specification, see Table 30: Measured Noise and Vibrations Levels.
4)
Check the pressure in the tyres – see Chapter 3.5.2.1 Tyre Pressure.
3.4.1.4 Handlebars Adjustment
The handlebars can be adjusted in two axes. The handlebars grips can be horizontally adjusted, after loosening the tightening nut, to the
required height so that the machine can be conveniently controlled by persons of different height – see Fig. 3 on page 88 . The entire tube
handlebars can be adjusted to the left or right side – see Fig. 4 on page 88 .

new position. It is not a malfunction, but the natural feature of the design of this knob.
