c) Testing the control functions

The model boat is ready for use once you have paired the transmitter with the model boat. The motor should not start
or hum at this point. Otherwise, disconnect the battery from the model boat and switch off the transmitter. Check that
the lever on the transmitter is in the neutral position, and then repair the model boat to the transmitter.
Attention!
Never reach into the spinning area of the propeller when connecting/disconnecting the battery or when the
battery is connected to the speed controller. The propeller may start unexpectedly! The propeller has very
sharp edges and may cause serious injuries and/or damage to property.
Check the position of the rudder. When the steering wheel (fig. 5, position A) of the transmitter and the trimmer (fig. 5,
position H) are in the central (neutral) position, the rudder should be in the middle.
If this is not the case, use the transmitter to trim the rudder (see section 9). Alternatively (or if the transmitter trim
is insufficient), adjust the rudder linkage. Make sure that the steering wheel and trimmer are in the central position.
Metal screw connections must be secured with so-called lock nuts or a drop of thread-locking fluid to prevent them
from becoming loose unintentionally.
Move the steering wheel (fig. 8). If you move the steering wheel to the left, the back of the rudder (when viewed from
behind) should swivel to the left.
