h) Inserting batteries into the transmitter
Remove the securing screw on the bottom of the battery compart-
ment and slide the battery compartment cover off the remote con-
trol.
Insert six AA batteries into the battery compartment. Ensure that
you observe the polarity markings (+/-) on the battery compartment
and batteries.
Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it in place with
the screw that you previously removed.
Using rechargeable batteries for the transmitter is not
recommended due to their lower voltage (disposable
batteries = 1.5 V, rechargeable batteries = 1.2 V) and
their tendency to self discharge. The transmitter would
then quickly indicate a low capacity of the installed bat-
teries.
The transmitter only uses a small amount of electricity,
therefore disposable batteries will last for significantly
longer. We recommend using high-quality alkaline bat-
teries.
i) Charging the boat battery
Charge the battery before using the boat for the first time. A charger is provided for that purpose.
Refer to the charger instructions for details on how to charge the battery.
