12. Operating / working notes
Attention!
Check direction of rotation
Three-phase motors must be checked for their direc-
tion of rotation when newly connected or relocated. If
necessary, the direction of rotation must be changed.
• To do this, change the direction of rotation of the
phase inverter with a screwdriver (not included in
the scope of delivery) in the product plug.
The rocking log saw provides maximum safety
thanks to its enclosed sawing area.
12.1 Switching on and off (Fig. 1 + 10)
1.
To switch on the saw, press the "I" button on the
on/off switch (5). Wait until the saw blade (6a) has
reached its maximum speed before starting sawing.
2.
To switch off the saw, push the "0" button at the on/
off switch (5).
12.2 Overload protection
In the event of overloading, the motor will switch itself
off. After a cool-down period (time varies) the motor can
be switched back on again.
1.
Allow the machine to cool down.
2.
Switch the machine on again.
12.3 Sawing process (Fig. 1 + 10)
m Attention! With curved wood, the curved side must
be aligned with the saw blade slot to avoid the wood
tipping over and jamming during the cutting process,
which can cause damage to the saw.
1.
Switch the machine on as described in 12.1.
2.
Fold open the protective cover (1) with the handle
(2).
3.
Place the material to be cut in the feed rocker (3).
4.
Close the protective cover (1).
Note: The sawing process can only be started with
the protective cover (1) closed.
5.
Swivel the feed rocker (3) with the handle (2) and
the grip (protective cover) (1) towards the saw
blade (6a) and saw through the material to be
cut. Note: During the sawing process, only exert
enough pressure on the saw blade (6a) to keep the
speed stable.
6.
Swivel the feed rocker (3) back and open the pro-
tective cover (1).
Note
It is also possible to connect a suitable chip extraction
system (not included in the scope of delivery) to the (ex-
traction) port (11).
m Attention!
• Do not leave the machine unattended during operation.
• If you interrupt the work, switch off the machine and
unplug the mains plug.
12.4 End of work (Fig. 1 + 10)
1.
Switch the product off with the On/Off switch (5).
2.
Wait until the saw blade (6a) has come to a com-
plete stop.
3.
Pull out the mains plug.
4.
Observe the general maintenance information.
13. Transport
13.1 Transport over short distances (Fig. 1 + 2)
1.
Secure the feed rocker with the swivel lock (10).
2.
Hold the product by the handle (2) and tilt it slightly
backwards using the wheels (10).
3.
The product can now be transported on its wheels
(10).
13.2 Vehicle transport
m WARNING
Danger of injury due to excessive product weight.
-
Take a second person to help you lift the product.
1.
When lifting the product, note its weight (see tech-
nical data).
2.
Always switch off the product before transport and
disconnect it from the power supply.
3.
Always carry the product with at least one other
person.
4.
Protect the machine from impacts, shocks and
severe vibrations, e.g. during vehicular transport.
5.
Secure the machine against tilting and slipping.
6.
Never use protective devices for handling or for
transport.
